The short version
For a typical marketing site, portfolio or landing page, plan for one to three weeks from the first conversation to launch. The exact number depends on three things: how many pages you need, how ready your content is, and how quickly feedback comes back.
What happens in each phase
- Request and discovery (1–2 days). A short conversation about your idea, goals and timeline. This becomes a clear plan with defined deliverables.
- Design in Figma (3–7 days). Layout, typography, colour and components are designed mobile-first, starting with the most important page.
- Build (3–7 days). The approved design is built with modern frontend technologies, including responsive behaviour and animation.
- Review and revisions (2–4 days). Structured revision rounds refine details until the site matches expectations.
- Launch and handover (1 day). Final files are delivered, the site is deployed, and post-launch support is arranged if needed.
What makes a website take longer
- Missing content. Waiting for copy, photos or product screenshots is the most common cause of delay.
- Scope growth. Extra pages, integrations or features added mid-project push the date out.
- Slow feedback. A two-day review that takes two weeks adds two weeks.
- Complex functionality. Web apps, dashboards and custom tools need more design and testing time than a brochure site.
How to keep your project on schedule
- Agree the page list and deliverables before design starts.
- Gather logos, copy and images early, even in draft form.
- Name one person who gives final sign-off.
- Split the project into milestones, so progress is visible and payments stay transparent.
Typical timelines at a glance
| Project type | Typical timeline |
|---|---|
| Single landing page | About 1 week |
| Standard multipage website | 1–3 weeks |
| Website redesign or migration | 2–4 weeks, depending on content |
| Web app or SaaS product UI | Planned in milestones |
These ranges are guides, not guarantees. A short planning conversation is the fastest way to get an accurate timeline for your project.
